BlueRecruit is a Raleigh-based technology company dedicated to helping veterans transition into the workforce. After his own military service as a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot, Rich began helping fellow veterans transition into corporate America. But he noticed a problem: the recruiting industry was failing to properly pair blue-collar workers with companies desperate for their specialized skills. On a mission to fill this gap, Rich created BlueRecruit.

The New Definition of “Accredited Investor,” and Why it Matters

The Securities and Exchange Commission has recently redefined what it means to be an “accredited investor.” Instead of limiting it to only those with a specific net worth, investors are now eligible to hold the accreditation title based on professional knowledge, experience, or certifications. Beginning in early November, this new definition will open the door for more investors to take part in private investment opportunities. Read More.
