The New Definition of "Accredited Investor," and Why it Matters

The Securities and Exchange Commission has recently redefined what it means to be an "accredited investor." Instead of limiting it to only those with a specific net worth, investors are now eligible to hold the accreditation title based on professional knowledge, experience, or certifications.
