A Note From Jesse: CED Tech Conference Recap

A few weeks ago I attended the CED Tech Venture Conference in downtown Raleigh. CED is the center for entrepreneurial development - it is a triangle based mentoring and connections center for entrepreneurs and investors. CED holds several networking events throughout the year, including their two marquee annual events - the tech conference and the life sciences conference.I enjoy attending the Tech Conference every year, and this year was no different. I had the opportunity to meet with several investors from out-of-state including Flyover Capital out of Kansas City and Rev Up out of Pittsburgh. Both of those conversations were very interesting and I believe have promise for our areas startup companies. Flyover looks to invest in "flyover" areas like the Midwest and to some extent the triangle. Rev Up has a different investment model that is non-dilutive. I'm looking forward to a second meeting with Melissa Withers from Rev Up this week where I'll learn more about her fund and what type of deals they are interested in.As always I am very excited to be representing entrepreneurs in the triangle. We have a strong entrepreneurial community, growing stronger every year. It's always fun to walk through the conference showroom learning about companies that are new and meeting people with new ideas. If you have questions about CED you can go to their website here.

New Business Phone Number

As our team has grown, we've had to make changes to how you can get in touch with our team. This phone number is the same number many of you have been using for years, 919.307.5356.This no longer connects straight to Jesse's cell phone. You're still able to text this number, but know that if you do, the whole team will see your message.
